Description
It´s October! Time for some horror! So I take a litte break from the comicbook art to show you my new little series "Maritime Horror". I am planning to make a series of 15 drawings with ocean-related myths or horror stories. I cannot promise regular upload times, since I have a lot of work right now. But I am keen to finish this series as quick as possible.
Lets start with the legendary El Caleuche. It´s a Chilenian ghost ship sailing around the island of Chiloé. It is described as a beautiful and lage ship with three masts. I looks, as if there is a party going on on board but from one moment to another the whole ship dissapeares without leaving any trace. The myth says, that the crew of the El Caleuche consists of drowend sailors, mermaids and witches. Another part of the legend says, that the El Caleuche is able to navigate under water and the ship itself can act as a conscious being.
